NOAA GFS via the NOMADS filter. **Retired** (``runnability.RETIRED``): superseded by ``noaa_gfs``, which reads every run whole from the AWS bucket. Kept registered so its code stays readable; it fails loudly rather than quietly: a fetch that does not return a GRIB raises, and :meth:`parse` raises when it cannot decode one (no ``cfgrib``, or a file it cannot read). It used to answer both with ``[]`` — a healthy-looking empty run.
