Ensemble-mean WeatherNext 2 forecasts for a single point. One row per (variable, valid time, run): the MEAN over the ensemble members of the nearest grid cell. A table holds one record per member; they used to be written one after another under the same (series, valid time, vintage), so the members overwrote each other and whichever came last was stored as "the" forecast. They are now averaged, and the member count is logged. The nearest cell is chosen in SQL by squared-degree distance, with the longitude difference wrapped so a 0..360 table and a -180..180 point (or the reverse) still meet. Squared degrees overweight longitude away from the equator; at 0.25° that can only pick a neighbouring cell when the point is nearly equidistant, which is acceptable for a point forecast.
